Kingston-born Tanice ‘SOULCHILD’ Morrison, has been performing and writing her own music for some time now.  Growing up, Morrison had big dreams of becoming a Recording Artist. Her passion for music was hard to ignore and was dubbed by friends as  "Jamaica's Whitney Houston".Still, she wanted to be recognized for her own unique style and began honing her craft while learning from some of the in the industry. Her main inspiration  was  her mother, a singer/songwriter in her own right who had encouraged her enter local competitions, from an early age. Her 'dream' became reality when she got an invitation to meet with  Sir Clement 'Coxsone' Dodd at Studio One. Morrison sang on spot and caught the attention of the late Jamaican producer.

She wrote her first song "Old Hurt" which was officially released on the Studio One 50th label in 2004.

Over the past decade, she has toured locally and internationally as a background vocalist for several established acts from Jamaica. Since then the Singer/Songwriter has been making headway as a solo artist, doing radio adverts and co-producing her own music.

Along with the many accolades, Morrison was also an opening act for the Kenny Rogers concert in Jamaica in 2004. She opened for the Chillites’ in New York at the ‘Rocatone Mother’s Day Ball in 2015 and performed as a cultural abassador in Taiyuan, China.

The singer has released several of her own original songs including her debut album-No Limitations’ in 2010 and now her latest to date “My Caribbean Boy.

Caribbean Boy" she noted celebrates the 'hero' that lies within the Caribbean man. With a blend of modern Afro-dance pop flavour and captivating lyrics it speaks to the Caribbean man’s unique qualities that the singer finds charming.

This soulful artiste continues to hone her 'craft' and make good music for her audience. " I am forever grateful to the most High God for the gift of singing...the gift of music"
